Even though you are renting a small car, it is often possible to get a free upgrade. Just ask.
Car rental agencies want you to become a loyal customer. And giving you a free upgrade is an easy and cheap for them to make you happy.
Just remember that you cannot be sure to get an upgrade. So do not rent a car smaller than there is room for you, your family and your entire luggage.
